Locating your John Deere Riding Mower Identification Tags

Most recent John Deere Riding Mowers will have a black tag that will say several things: 

1. Will always include the name "Deere" such as John Deere or Deere & Company
2. Usually says the phrase "Product Identification Number"
3. "Model" which includes the Model Series & Name (what is printed on the side of your hood) + usually size of the deck
4. "DOM" for date of manufacture
5. Often includes a barcode
6. May include country information
7. Frequently includes the product ID number (what JD calls a serial number) between two * (asterisk) symbols

Sometimes the PID tag will be a white background tag with black lettering that is about the side of an address label. 

ProTip: When you locate your JD PID tag, email us a picture of the tag with your information and we can add it to our system for future parts or service ease. 

ProTip: It would also be beneficial to send engine numbers as well. The engine information will depend on your engine's manufacturer.
